Hello readers.
I haven't been blogging for years as far as I could remember.
However, I decided to start blogging again, probably it'll be a good start.
Life after graduation has been hectic.
Working 7 days a week, trying hard to maintain a long distance relationship.
Not easy at all.
And so thanks to the long awaited break from work
I made a one-month-long trip to Seoul to visit my boyfriend.
One month sounds long enough, but to my dismay,
three weeks had passed :(
Sounds very irresponsible but I so don't want to go back to Singapore.
So basically what do I do in Korea?
Being the 4th time here, it doesn't seem like a touristy trip anymore.
And boyf is out for work during the day
so.. I have to make full use of my time here
by enrolling in an academy to further polish my Korean.
The Seoul Language Academy is located in Gangnam district.(http://www.seoul-kla.com/)
Very accessible by all modes of transport.
What I like about this academy is that it is very flexible.
You can choose to attend their regular lessons where they have 5 to 10 students in a class
Or you could choose to have private one to one class.
For me, because my aim is to pali pali ( faster) get over and done with my level 3.
Therefore I chose the private class, three times a week ,1.5 hours each.
,So I would be done with level 3 in a month, and therefore move on to the next level.
I have realistic expectations to meet, and therefore learning the language used to be out of interest, but now a duty:X
And so when the weekends arrived, and the boyf is finally free
We can finally spend time together!
Last weekend, we drove to Paju in Gyeonggi Province.
Due to its close proximity to North Korea, there are a lot of military bases there.
But, we are not there to visit the military bases
Paju has its share of historical and cultural sites too.
First, we dropped by Heyri Art Village.
It's sort of a heritage site, showcasing cultural elements.
These are actually the retro candies and snacks that the older generations ate.
Pretty interesting.
Boyf bbq-ing. (not meat)
Basically it's a corn snack.
I don't know why it is done this way but apparently it tasted like warm bread.
After that, we had fun taking pictures with the figurines.
His expression is forever animated
boyf with retro bus
After that, we visited the Lotte Premium Outlet
So beautifully decorated, all ready for Xmas.
Didn't buy anything though, all branded stuffs :X
My favourite part of the trip: Paju Provence.
Such a beautiful setting to take pictures in.
dainty cottage-like shop houses dotted the streets.
omg. I wanna own this whole set of kitchenware in future
lovely candle holders
I patted boyf's head that night and jokingly said
"You have became smarter! "
That's because usually he doesn't have many ideas about where to go and what to do.
Had a great weekend
looking forward to the next(:
but last ):
